Thousands of children enter the foster care system every year, often carrying nothing but a trash bag filled with what little they own. That image breaks my heart—and it should break all of ours. Comfort Cases steps in with something so simple yet powerful: a backpack. But not just any backpack. These are filled with brand-new pajamas, toiletries, a stuffed animal, a book, and a message of hope. It’s more than just a case—it’s dignity. It reminds these children that they matter, that someone sees them, and that they deserve to feel safe and loved during the most uncertain time of their lives.
